The questions we hear most from first-time renters at Darling Hill.

Do I need a Kingdom Trails pass to ride?
Yes — a Kingdom Trails Association day or season pass is required to ride the trail network. Buy your pass directly from KTA at the Kingdom Trails membership store.
Do I need to sign a waiver before riding?
Yes — Kingdom Trails requires every rider to sign their waiver. Sign it online ahead of your ride at the Kingdom Trails waiver portal so you’re ready to roll out at pickup.
Should I reserve my rental in advance?
Strongly recommended, especially during peak season (June through October) and on weekends. Walk-ins welcome, subject to availability — reserve ahead to access our full selection and guarantee a specific size or model.
What's included with a rental?
Every rental includes the bike, a helmet, a trail map, and a quick orientation to the trail system. Flat pedals come standard; clipless pedals are available on request at no extra charge if you bring your own shoes.
Do you have bikes for kids?
Yes — we keep a range of kids' mountain bikes from 20" wheels up through small adult frames. Helmets sized for kids are included. If you're booking for a family, leave a note with rider heights and we'll have the right sizes ready.
Where do I park and pick up the bike?
Free on-site parking at 2099 Darling Hill Road, Lyndonville, VT — between East Burke and Lyndonville, directly on the Kingdom Trails network. Pickup is at the converted barn shop; signage will direct you when you arrive.
What if it rains?
Kingdom Trails closes when conditions are too wet to protect the trails. If a closure forces a cancellation, we'll reschedule or refund — just call the shop at 802-626-8444 as soon as you know.
